ALGURAYFAH, BAHRAIN — The board of directors of Bahrain Flour Mills Company BSC (Al-Matahin) has named Henry Wayne Craig as chief executive officer.

Craig most recently was operations director at Heartland Food (Pty) Ltd. in Kwa-Zulu Natal since January 2014, and earlier was operations director at European Oat Millers Ltd. for 10 years. He also has worked as operations manager at EPC — The English Provinder Co., general manager of milling at The Ryvita Co. Ltd., technical milling at Satake Corp., and was a trainee manager at Tiger Brands.

“We are delighted to announce that Henry Craig has joined the company as the new CEO,” said Abdullatif Alaujan, chairman of Al-Matahin. “He joins us with nearly 30 years of extensive international experience in mills and grain industry of all kinds with all technical, engineering and administrative fields of these industries. He holds an MBA degree in addition to qualifications supported by experience in milling and business specializing in oats and breakfast cereals throughout the U.K. and he has contributed the construction of several mills in China, Africa and Europe.”

Commenting on his appointment, Craig said he was “very happy” to join Al-Matahin.

Bahrain Flour Mills is involved in the import of wheat, the production of wheat flour and related products that are sold to the Bahraini market and to the foreign export market.
