OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Intersystems announced on May 3 the promotion of Thomas A. Schroeder to president and chief operating officer. Schroeder’s previous positions at Intersystems include vice-president of engineering and, most recently, executive vice-president and general manager.
Schroeder has been with Intersystems since 1995 and held engineering related positions with other manufacturing companies prior to that. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Nebraska.
Schroeder has been an integral part of the strategic planning and new product development efforts that have led to Intersystems’ unprecedented growth, the company said.
Responsibility remaining from Schroeder’s previous position is the oversight of the company’s sales, marketing, engineering and plant operations. In this new role, he will also be responsible for all administrative activities for the company.
