Northern Crops Institute seeks director

Applications are being accepted for full-time director’s position at Northern Crops Institute (NCI) located at NDSU, Fargo, North Dakota, U.S. Director provides administrative leadership and vision for Institute’s fiscal, personnel and program efforts.
NCI is a collaborative effort among North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Montana to support the promotion and market development of crops grown in this four-state region. NCI is well supported with funding by the four states. NCI is an international meeting and learning center which brings together customers, commodity traders, technical experts, and processors for discussion, education and technical services. Specific objectives include the provision of technical and marketing assistance through training courses and technical services designed to facilitate domestic and export market development.
In collaboration with the Northern Crops Council, NCI staff, and other stakeholders, the director will establish vision for NCI, secure regional, state and private funding for organizational operations and growth, lead public relations and networking efforts with course participants and trade teams, commodity groups, agricultural food/feed/energy processing industries, private sector representatives, trade organizations and appropriate professional organizations, and implement policies and procedures to comply with university, state and federal regulations.
The director is administratively responsible to the vice-president for agriculture and university extension, NDSU, for the implementation of institute programs.
Situated on the campus of North Dakota State University, in Fargo, North Dakota, U.S., NCI is only minutes from the farm fields which yield much of the world’s food.
