CREMONA, ITALY — The Ocrim Group recently announced that on Oct. 4 the Russian Company ZAO CI Group signed a contract with Ocrim to supply a 400-tonne-per-day durum wheat milling plant designed for the production of high quality semolina.
Ocrim said the durum mill will be located in the Russian region of Saratov in the city of Balashov and will meet the rules established by the Russian government on safety and machinery conformity. The facility will feature stainless steel to guarantee a high level of sanitation during processing.
Ocrim said that its customer is a joint venture between the Italian company Colussi Group and the Russian company InfoLink. They noted that this joint venture joins together two important protagonists of the international food market. The Colussi Group owns several important brands domestic and international brands including Colussi, Agnesi, Misura, Riso Flora, Sapori and Liebig.
Ocrim noted that InfoLink is a leading figure in the production and distribution of pasta in Russia that operates in the various markets also with other commodity economics.
The ZAO CI Group’s president is Carlo Falcinelli and its general manager is Andrey Gurov.
Ocrim said the plant it has designed for the CIO Group will have a milling line that will consist of 22 roller mills, 24 purifiers and four super-giant plansifters.
To ensure product cleanliness, the facility will utilize a color sorter and wheat debranning system. The semolina will be conveyed to the adjacent new pasta plant or in bulk or completely to the various bagging and packing lines.
The facilities byproducts will be collected and later transformed into pellets to increase the stock and operations.
Ocrim said the management of the entire milling complex will be operated by an automation system that will control all the single machines and apparatuses present on the same plant. The control system — Control@mill — was developed by Ocrim. The facility will also feature an additional automation system — called Management@mill — that will guarantee the total traceability of the lots and of the production, manage the preventive maintenance and other applications that will allow optimum management of the plant.
Ocrim said all the automation systems will be supported by the tele-assistance service that it guarantees to its customers.
