World Grain News: Post-harvest grains and seed exhibition planned in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA Developments in the manipulation of grains and seeds will be the focus of the second post-harvest exhibition SAC '99, Oct. 6-8 in Parque de España, Rosario, Argentina. The symposium is organized by Grains magazine, with the cooperation of the Argentine Net of Technology.
More than 400 persons attended last year's symposium, organizers said. The event is designed to set up a regional center of exhibition and interchange, to promote business and agreements between companies in the MERCOSUR and to facilitate the interchange between grain-related institutions in the South Hemisphere and elsewhere in the world, organizers said. Speakers from European Union, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina will discuss the quality and biology of grains on Oct. 6, conditioning, manipulation and conservation technologies on Oct. 7 and security and hygiene from the commercial perspective on Oct. 8.
