The Grain and Grain Processing Information Site
The L-Cell weight sensor from Kistler-Morse is a bolt-on sensor traditionally used on skirted silos that can now be applied to a bin's support structure to create an accurate and affordable weighing system. The system is beneficial for retrofitting existing silos without losing production time, Kistler-Morse said. The L-Cell weight sensor detects the strain changes on a support structure as weight is added to or removed from a bin. The L-Cell accurately and consistently monitors bulk inventories.
