Ventilex B.V., the Dutch manufacturer of fluid bed drying and cooling systems, has established an office in Mason, Ohio, U.S., near Cincinnati, to service the North American market.
Ventilex USA has been operating since Jan. 15, 2001, and is headed by Tom Schroeder, president.
The new office handles all sales, service, and parts business for the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Manufacturing is currently done at Heerde, Holland, but plans are to begin manufacturing in North America in the next several years, Schroeder said.
Schroeder previously was sales and marketing manager for TEMA Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of high-speed industrial liquid and solid production centrifuges.
Ventilex manufactures continuous fluid bed dryers and coolers, along with the associated filter systems, control panels and systems, and all connecting equipment for drying or cooling of solids. The company's main focus has been primarily in the food, dairy and chemical industries.
"Ventilex is very well known in Europe and South Africa, along with the East, but is relatively unknown in North and South America," Schroeder said. "My main goal will be to meet as many customers as possible and show how our product can solve their drying and cooling needs."
An overview of Ventilex's products can be found at www.ventilex.com. A more detailed web site for North America is expected to be available Feb. 15 at www.ventilex.net.
