BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS, U.S. — The Grain Elevator & Processing Society and the National Grain & Feed Association have agreed to significantly expand their existing strategic alliance, enabling additional collaboration that will include scheduling and producing a joint annual educational conference and trade show to combine three of the North American grain industry’s most heavily attended events — the GEAPS Exchange, the NGFA’s Country Elevator Council and Feed Industry Council conferences.
The expanded alliance also will involve merging the two groups committees that address grain inspection and weighing, as well as safety, health and environmental issues.
The agreement was approved June 26 by GEAPS’ International Board during the Leadership Conference in Blooming-ton. The NGFA’s Executive Committee approved the agreement June 10.
