Buhler Ltd. has unveiled a new series of twin-screw extruders designed to increase the performance, flexibility and modularity of production lines. The BCTA line of extruders produce a greater variety of products and can be adjusted to specific customer needs. Higher screw speed boosts throughput capacity as much as 100%. Other features include a maximum die pressure of 300 bar, housing that can sustain temperatures up to 300°C, and 1500-kilowatt drive power made possible by a new two-stage conditioning process.
