Groupe Fabricom of Belgium has acquired Sulzer Infra’s three core businesses of building services, engineering contracting and infrastructure services, including the company Sulzer Escher Wyss, Lindau, which produces cold storage systems for grain.
Sulza Infra will be integrated within Groupe Fabricom’s Technical Services and Processes Division, called Axima. Sulzer Escher Wyss will be known as Axima Refrigeration GmbH.
All Sulzer contact personnel will remain the same at Axima Refrigeration.
Groupe Fabricom said it believes Axima Refrigeration will become a leading supplier of services and products for refrigeration techniques throughout Europe.
Both Groupe Fabricom and Sulzer Infra agreed to the purchase conditions in April, but the contract was only recently approved by the European Anti-Trust Commission.
Sulzer Infra is expected to strengthen Groupe Fabricom’s technical infrastructure services in building and industrial installations, maintenance and facility management through its complementary geographic presence and long-standing customer base.
