Shipping grain through the Panama Canal

The article "Shipping grain through the Panama Canal" in the January issue of World Grain incorrectly stated that nearly 36,000 tonnes of grain passed through the canal in 1998. In fact, nearly 36 million tonnes of grain were shipped through the Panama Canal in 1998, including 18 million tonnes of maize, 10 million tonnes of soybeans and 4 million tonnes of wheat. The table that accompanied the story should have listed commodities shipped through the Panama Canal in fiscal year 1998 in 1,000 tonnes.

Also, the December "International Buyers Guide" incorrectly pictured a Vigan ship unloader on a supplier review for BMH Marine, Bjuv, Sweden.
