LENEXA, KANSAS, U.S. Two former managers of Sangati America Inc., the North American subsidiary of Sangati Berga S.p.A., Padova, Italy, have formed a new company, Sebatec America, Inc., which has been named the sole representative of Sangati Berga's equipment in the North American market.
Sebatec, which is based in Lenexa, is jointly owned by Ben Ross and Robert Bonanni. The company will provide in-house engineering design, procurement, spare parts service and technical assistance for the grain milling industry, and will also manufacture various components for the grain cleaning, tempering and grain milling industries, Mr. Ross said.
Sangati Berga said the agreement, effective June 1, was “the result of the need for an independent American-owned company which would focus on the specific requirements and needs of their North American milling customers.” Sangati Berga said it would remain an active participant in the market and will work in close collaboration with its representative, Sebatec.
Sangati America was established in 1991 as a 50-50 partnership with Johnson Food Equipment, Kansas City, Kansas. In 1996, Sangati Berga acquired full ownership of the Johnson-Sangati Co. and renamed the company.
Sebatec America has moved its operations to 8248 Nieman Rd., Lenexa, Kansas 66214 U.S. Mr. Ross and Mr. Bonanni may be reached at 913-438-1080; fax: 913-438-1084; E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
