Seaboard invests in Kenya milling company

MERRIAM, KANSAS, U.S. — Seaboard Corp., Merriam, has acquired a 35% stake in Unga Holdings Ltd., the largest milling company in Kenya, for U.S.$7.5 million, the company announced recently.
Seaboard will assume management responsibilities for the company and has agreed to provide the company with a line of working capital for grain and supplies.
Unga's operations include wheat and corn milling, feed manufacturing and farm care supplement operations throughout Kenya as well as milling operations in several other African nations.
