Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Toepfer in strategic alliance

Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Toepfer International recently announced a strategic alliance designed to "strengthen their leadership roles in meeting the increasing demands of global customers." Under the plan, the Pool will supply specific agricultural commodities to Toepfer customers around the world.
Saskatchewan Wheat Pool is a publicly traded agri-business cooperative anchored by a prairie-wide grain handling and agri-products marketing network. The Pool channels prairie production to markets in North America and around the world and operates food processing and value-added businesses.
Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, Toepfer International is an agricultural commodity marketer with more than 40 offices worldwide. Toepfer trades approximately 40 million tonnes of agricultural commodities each year, representing a sales volume of U.S.$5.5 billion to U.S.$7 billion.
