Sangati Berga announces new orders for mechanical ship loaders/unloaders

PADUA, ITALY — Sangati Berga S.p.A. recently installed mechanical ship loaders/unloaders at facilities in Indonesia and Poland.
The company P.T. Intisentosa Alambahtera, Jakarta, ordered a Sangati combined mechanical Transmec-C ship loader/unloader for its bulk handling terminal at the Port of Bandar Lampung in Indonesia. The unit is designed to handle wheat, maize, soybeans, soymeal, derivatives and free-flowing and non-free flowing products at a capacity of 400 tonnes per hour from vessels up to 80,000 dwt.
Sangati said the unit was shipped to Indonesia at the end of 1999 and was operational in February 2000.
Gdynia port authorities in Poland also awarded Sangati Berga contract for the supply of a combined mechanical ship loader/unloader and relevant electromechanical equipment for warehouse mechanisation at a facility owned by Portowy Zaklad Zaopatrzenia Spolka at the Port of Gdynia.
The Sangati Transmec-C 400-tph combined mechanical loader/unloader is being used to unload wheat, maize, soymeal and derivates as well as free-flowing and non-free flowing products from vessels up to 10,000 dwt.
The unit was scheduled for delivery at beginning of 2000 and was to have been operational by March 2000, Sangati said.
Sangati in recent years has installed a variety of its Transmec, Transload and Translift mechanical and pneumatic loaders and unloaders, ranging from 100 tph to 1,400 tph, at facilities in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Indonesia, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey. In many cases, a variety of grain storage and handling systems also were provided by Sangati.
The mechanical Transmec units and the pneumatic Translift models are available stationary or on rails or tires. Sangati's Transload ship loaders can be equipped with belt or chain conveyors, on rails or stationary.
