Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in December announced it had closed the sale of its interest in EuroPort, a port terminal in Gdansk, Poland.
The Pool last May reached an agreement to sell its entire interest in the port terminal to Strait Crossing Group Ltd., one of the project partners, for U.S.$7 million. The Pool upon closing was to have received U.S.$500,000, with another U.S.$2.5 million in July 2001, U.S.$1 million upon the completion of the terminal construction, and the remaining U.S.$3 million payable by July 2006 out of operating cash flows from the project.
