Rotex, Inc., a manufacturer of screening and separating equipment for the milling industry, has formed a subsidiary in Argentina to manufacture screeners for the South American market. Rotex Sudamerica SRL is located in Sauce Viejo, Argentina.
"The South American process industry is growing," said Nash McCauley, Rotex vice-president, sales and marketing. "To be more responsive to our South American customers, we need to provide local manufacturing and distribution."
Local manufacturing avoids duty and ocean freight charges, McCauley added.
Rotex’s self-contained screeners are used to separate dry materials according to particle size. The screeners combine the gyratory motion of a near-horizontal screen surface with positive screen mesh cleaning.
