Prokop's 11th annual "Milling Days," held Sept. 7 at the company's headquarters in Pardubice, drew about 150 millers from the Czech and Slovak republics as well as exhibitors from the Czech Republic and Germany and representatives from Kromeríz, a Czech agricultural institution.
"Milling Days" is Prokop's opportunity to highlight its products and services to local millers, said Milos Svatos, marketing manager. "And for millers it's an occasion to meet other millers and to exchange conversation and news," he added. "Many millers have studied in Pardubice and like to return here."
The event this year coincided with Prokop's 130th anniversary in business.
Speakers from Prokop's management and engineering division gave lectures on the local harvest, problems associated with processing sprouted wheat and the Tkac debranning system and Prokop's PTMT debranning technology. Other exhibiting companies also gave presentations about their products.
