The Dutch-based company, Ottevanger Machinefabrieken BV recently completed a multi-purpose feed mill for the COPAG cooperative in Taroudannt, Morocco. The mill has a capacity of 10 tonnes per hour for mash feed or 5 to 10 tph for pelleted feed, depending on the formulation.
Using Ottevanger's containerized processing unit, the plant consists of outside storage for raw materials; an inside dosing section, with dosing bins and an electronic weigher; the processing unit, including grinding, mixing and pelleting; a molasses dosing section; and a finished product section with bulk outloading bins and a bagging-off facility.
The entire process is automated and controlled by computer, but also can be manually operated, Ottevanger said. "All parties involved are proud of the plant and of the way it was realized," a spokesman said.
