The city of Krefeld, Germany, recently renamed the street in front of the German headquarters of Cerestar to "Cerestarstrasse." Cerestar, a leading supplier of starch and starch-derived ingredients, is a major employer in Krefeld, where its plant grinds about 650,000 tonnes per year. Karl-Heinz Balhorn, director of business policy and economic environment for Cerestar Deutschland, said the street name change "will reinforce Cerestar's presence in the community and help our own staff identify more strongly with the company."
