recently announced he was taking a 120-day leave of absence as chairman of Grupo Minsa, S.A. de C.V.
, the second largest corn flour producer in Mexico. Mr. Gomez is campaigning for Senator from the state of Jalisco; elections will be held in July. Minsa owns six corn flour plants in Mexico, two in the U.S. and one in Guatemala.
