Cereal milling engineers to the world

Satake is a research-driven organization with a leading position in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative cereal milling equipment and systems throughout the world.

In addition to our headquarters and research base in Hiroshima, Japan, the company has wholly owned subsidiaries and sales offices in Houston, Texas; Toronto, Canada; Porto Alegre, Brazil; and many other regions of the world.

Satake supplies a comprehensive range of equipment to suit conventional and specialist milling processes. Our PeriTec milling processes are used in the production of high quality bread-making flours, durum semolina and starch flours. Degerming and debranning systems are also available for other cereals, such as maize and barley.

Since 1896, when Riichi Satake developed the first power-driven rice milling machine, the company has remained the preeminent producer of rice processing equipment.

Satake acquired ESM of Houston in 1992 to offer a comprehensive range of color sorting equipment.

No project is too small or too large for our specialist designers and technologists to handle. Satake supplements its own extensive research facilities by sponsoring work in leading universities and other research and development centers to remain at the forefront of milling technology. Our key objective is to offer innovative solutions to benefit our customers’ know-how and to provide the most cost effective resolution of your requirements.
