TOKYO, JAPAN — Nippon Flour Mills Co. is to invest U.S.$4 million in a flour mill in Shanghai, to service Japanese food processing companies operating in China.
The company currently exports more than 15,000 tonnes flour to these customers annually. The 3,600-tonnes-capacity Shanghai mill is expected to come on stream in February 2004 and will reduce production and transportation costs, the company said.
