Thirty-five years of experience in manufacturing roller mills went into the new YAV 100 from Yukselis Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., Eskisehir, Turkey. The machine is available in single-high (four roll) or double-high (eight roll) models, with roll sizes from 800 to 1,250x250 mm. Electronic or pneumatic control systems also are available. Special sensors in the electronic control system automatically adjusts the feed roll speed. A newly designed safety tension spindle makes it easier to replace the rolls, and the Triger belt drive requires no lubrication. The housing has been painted with electrostatic paint. Yukselis has produced 22 milling plants, with capacities ranging from 25 to 180 tonnes per day. The company won the product development prize from the Trade Ministry of the Turkish Republic for its vertical grinding technology, a milling plant that uses one roll to produce high-quality, cost-effective flour.
