The high-traction flour plant developed by the research group of Yukselis Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., Eskisehir, Turkey, increases the flour extraction rate of front passages, which are rich in endosperm. In Yukselis' compact mills, built for capacities of 48 tonnes and 72 tonnes per 24 hours, flour extraction rates of these front passages have been doubled to conventional diagrams. The high-traction system produces very high flour extraction rates with low ash contents in small mills that have a limited number of smooth roller passages.
