For more than 40 years, Perten Instruments has supplied analytical and quality control instrumentation for the grain, flour, food and feed industries. Perten prides itself in providing analysis systems that are fast, easy-to-use and cost efficient.
With thousands of instruments installed worldwide, the Perten Instruments Group is one of the largest suppliers to these market segments. Perten is able to meet the needs of the emerging global economy with direct companies in Sweden (HQ), United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, Australia, Hong Kong, China and distributors and representatives in an additional 100 countries.
Perten offers a wide variety of unique analysis systems. The laboratory mills are high quality, rugged sample preparation mills for accurate and convenient sample preparation for tests such as NIR, Falling Number and gluten testing. The Falling Number instruments are the world standard for measuring alpha-amylase activity in grain and flour with official methods by the AACC, ICC, and ISO.
A large calibration database allows Perten to supply ready-made calibrations for many products for test parameters such as moisture, protein, ash, fiber and oil/fat. The Single Kernel Characterization System provides information with regards to shipment uniformity, measuring moisture, hardness, weight, length and diameter. Perten also offers a new Diode Array System, the new Inframatic Flour System, and the Shakematic sampler.
Perten works closely with its customers to provide high levels of technical service and training, competitive pricing, problem solving and successfully developed projects that set industry standards.
