The "Mini" In-Line Tru-Balance Sifter from Great Western Manufacturing Co., Inc., Leavenworth, Kansas, U.S., was developed to be an economical solution for smaller pneumatic system capacities — up to 250 lbs per minute (125 kg/min) on hard wheat flour with a 600-micron (30 mesh) screen. The machine is designed for direct insertion in a pneumatic conveying line, reducing equipment requirements and power and maintenance costs. The mini-sifter includes many of the features found in Great Western's larger in-line sifters, including proven gyratory (non-impact) sifter technology; a unique sieve clamping system; proven and reliable Tru-Balance drive mechanism; and nest-together sieves containing a separate lift-out tray with screen and screen cleaners. The machine can be quickly and easily opened in minutes for inspection, cleaning or maintenance. Sieve frames are available with a sanitary, properly tensioned, screen attachment.
