UZWIL, SWITZERLAND — Martin Schlauri has been named vice-president of Buhler AG and general manager of its worldwide flour milling activities. He succeeds Hans-Jakob Schoch, who is president of Buhler's General Food and Feed Division, which includes flour milling.
Mr. Schlauri joined Buhler more than 20 years ago after graduating as a milling technologist. After completing assignments in process development and plant commissioning, he was made responsible for the flour milling business in various countries and gained widespread acceptance in the Italian market as general manager of Buhler's flour milling department in Milan.
Most recently, Mr. Schlauri served as managing director of marketing for the flour milling business unit.
"His comprehensive knowledge was the base for the success of our training center for milling personnel under his management," Buhler officials said.
