Larry Groce named Bratney Companies' vice-president

Bratney Companies has named Larry L. Groce to the newly created position of vice-president-business development. Groce will manage the development of Bratney’s new client services in the expanding ethanol and biodiesel processing sector and further develop Bratney’s agricultural engineering and construction services to traditional clients in the seed, feed, grain, food and bulk handling business sectors.
Prior to joining Bratney, Groce managed the Producers Alliance value-added agricultural development group in Bloomington, Illinois, U.S., and was instrumental in the joint development of the Midwest Grain Processors ethanol project at Lakota, Iowa, U.S., with Ag Ventures Alliance. He also has held key or senior positions with Monsanto, Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Corn Growers Association, Behlen Manufacturing, Lindsay Manufacturing-DeKalb, and Butler Manufacturing Co.
Groce has also served in leadership roles as chairman of the U.S. Grains Council and the Alpha Zeta Foundation. He is a director of the International Food & Agribusiness Management Association and a member of the Farm Foundation-Bennett Ag Round Table.
