Kemin Industries promotes Sewalt and Galloway

has been named commercial director of the Food Applications Group for Kemin Americas, Inc., business unit of Kemin Industries, Inc.
"Galloway will play a critical role in helping us expand our operations in the food ingredients and food service arenas. She is an accomplished sales and marketing executive with several years of experience," said John Greaves, president of Kemin Americas.
Galloway will be responsible for developing and implementing a sales and marketing strategy for Kemin Americas’ Fortium brand and Shield brand product lines to the food industry.
Vincent Sewalt, Ph.D., has been named director of research and development for Kemin Americas, Inc. Sewalt will be responsible for managing the research and development function for both agriculture and food applications. His role includes directing discovery research into new product development, continuous improvement and expansion of existing product lines into comprehensive product platforms, and oversight of customer lab services, quality control and regulatory affairs.
Sewalt holds a number of patents in the area of enzyme function in forage utilization by livestock, and was previously with Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. and was also a Visiting Fellow in Biotechnology at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC).
Kemin Industries Inc. produces nutritional solutions for human food and vitamin products, pet food diets and animal feeds. The company maintains research and manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Singapore, Thailand, India, Texas and Iowa.
