Manual insect level sampling has a number of problems, including manpower costs and difficulty of data interpretation. OPIsystems Inc. worked with U.S.D.A. scientists to develop the StorMax Insector, a tool for real-time measurement of insect activity. Data is collected with the StorMax probe inserted into the grain, and the data is retrieved by either the hand-held Stormax monitor or a PC. You can use a single StorMax Insector probe, link several in series or combine Insector probes with other StorMax devices such as temperature cables or automated fan controls.
