The sliding inlet connector from Rotex, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S., has a stationary housing that permits material to flow into the screener. Not attached to the screener, the con-nector slides along a durable wear disk. The connector re-mains still while the screener is in motion, eliminating stress associated with flexible connectors. Dusting and leakage is reduced and the risk of total sleeve failure is eliminated. Rotex recommends its new connector when handling high volumes of material, highly abrasive material or in any operation that experiences chronic connector failures.
