INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA, U.S. — Harvest States, the grains and foods division of CHS Cooperatives, will open a grain marketing office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Known as Harvest States do Brasil Ltda, this subsidiary originates and markets primarily soybeans for export to Pacific Rim and European buyers. Harvest States will not own or acquire any grain-oilseed elevators or terminals as part of this new business.
"As our grain customers have grown increasingly global, so have their expectations that Harvest States would become global alongside them," said Rick Browne, senior vice president. "Today’s grain buyer demands seamless, year-round commodity supplies."
