GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Global Industries, Inc. said it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the assets and business of Sentinel Building Systems, a manufacturer of commercial and industrial metal buildings based in Albion, Nebraska.
Sentinel will become a division of Global Industries, along with MFS/York/Stomor, a manufacturer of grain storage and handling equipment, and Global Waste Water Systems.
Don Anderson, chief executive officer of Global Industries and president of MFS/York/Stormor, said Global has the "industry experience, financial capability and the dealer organization to bring immediate but controllable growth to Sentinel Building Systems."
Wayne Buller, who owns Sentinel with his wife, Bev, will continue as president of the Sentinel division. "It is hard to turn over a company that Bev and I and our employees have built for over 13 years, but it is time," Mr. Buller said. "Global Industries has the experience and financial capability to build this company to be a premier, full-service and full-line supplier of metal buildings."
