GIPSA okays Foss Tecator NIR analyzer

WASHINGTON, D.C., U.S. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration has approved the Foss Infratec Model 1241 Whole Grain Analyzer, manufactured by Foss Tecator AB, Sweden, for official determination of protein content in wheat, soybeans, oil and maize.
According to the company, the Infratec Model 1241 near infrared instrument is an engineering enhancement of previous approved Infratec models. The new model includes a test cell with a belt conveyor sample feed that automatically adjusts the path length between 6 and 33 millimeters.
Foss Tecator specializes in the development and marketing of systems for the analysis of foodstuffs and agricultural products.
