GEAPS’ 8th annual Leadership Conference, a two-and-a-half day program designed to develop GEAPS’ volunteer leadership and chart the organiza-tion’s course for the future, will be held June 26-28 at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.
"The leadership conference is a great way for members to get involved, whether at the chapter level or with strategic planning at the international level," said Jim Voigt, GEAPS president.
A half-day workshop on June 26 is for members involved in or interested in becoming involved with GEAPS chapter leadership. A day-long leadership forum and strategic planning session is planned June 27. The GEAPS international board will meet June 28.
The strategic planning theme for the leadership forum will be how to better position the organization as the grain industry’s leading resource for information and learning opportunities. This theme ties in with GEAPS core mission, which stresses innovation, professionalism, networking, quality, safety and sharing information.
