GAFTA to host international conference in Cairo in November

HUNDREDS OF traders, brokers and suppliers to the grain and feed trade are expected to meet in Cairo, Egypt, for an international conference Nov. 21-26 sponsored by the Grain and Feed Trade Association, London.
The six-day conference, "Feeding the Future," will be held at the Ramses Hilton Hotel in Cairo. GAFTA has lined up leading speakers from several countries, including the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization's top commodity expert and an international grain markets expert.
Plenary sessions and seminars will concern e-commerce and e-documentation; the danger and prevention of mycotoxins; focus sessions on North Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, the Baltic Sea and the Danubian region; consumer demands in northern Europe, the United States, Australia and Japan; identity preservation and traceability; and the validity of current GM testing methods. Experts on GAFTA contract terms and rules, arbitration and other GAFTA services also will be on hand to answer questions.
