LONDON, U.K. — The Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) has launched the GAFTA Traders Manual, a thorough CD-based Standard of Best Practice for all trade operations throughout the supply chain.
This Standard incorporates a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point)-based approach for storage, transport, loading, discharge, supervision and analysis. It features codes, guidelines, contracts and rules covering all logistical stages.
At the association’s Annual Dinner, GAFTA President, Wayne Bacon said he was confident that this manual would expand and develop over time to be a singularly useful tool in unifying trade and in meeting the ever-growing regulatory requirements facing the industry.
