The Satake Corporation, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan, recently established a new base for its European division in Bredbury, Stockport, in greater Manchester, U.K.
Satake, which began manufacturing rice milling machinery 105 years ago in Japan, offers a comprehensive range of equipment for the cleaning, grading and processing of wheat, rice, maize, barley and other cereal grains for the international market. A unique family of products and processes for preparing cereal grains for milling is available. The most well known of these is the PeriTec, used for the optimum debranning and milling of many wheat types, such as durum for brighter pasta semolina, hard wheat for superior bread-making flours and soft wheat for low-fiber starch flours.
Satake U.K., together with its sister company ESM (UK) Ltd., located at the same site, offers the full range of Satake cereal milling and color sorting equipment to the European, Middle East and African markets.
The Bredbury site houses facilities for plant and machine sales; project design and execution; technical milling, commissioning and service; electrical engineering and process control design; parts and site service; and roll manufacture and refurbishing. Satake U.K. also provides dust collector sleeves, separator screen and sifter cloth, as well as technical support for all. The U.K. office aims to provide a one-stop shop for advice, project design and execution, spare parts, repairs and maintenance.
