is active worldwide and has supplied a full range of products and systems for grain and agribulk terminals. BMH ship unloaders ensure efficient and environmentally friendly discharge. With a light, slim design, the Siwertell unloaders are installed as road-mobile, rail-traveling or pedestal-mounted units for narrow sites or congested areas.
The light weight and high unloading capacity of the BMH Siwertell unloader were the decisive factors for Comercializadora La Junta S.A. de C.V. of Guadalajara, a facility in Manzillo, Mexico. The unloader, an ST 640-type F/OB unit, has a capacity of 1,150 tonnes per hour and has been in use since 1999 for grain cargoes arriving in Panamax-size ships.
More than 200 BMH Siwertell ship unloaders have been selected by operators around the world for grain and agribulk, fertilizer, cement and coal. Sizes and capacities range from fully road-mobile, 200- to 300-tph units for ships and barges up to 5,000 deadweight tonnes to heavy-duty machines with capacities up to 2,300 tph, suitable for vessels up to 180,000 dwt.
BMH Marine recently developed a pneumatic grain unloader, the PortMaster, available in sizes and capacities up to 600 tph. The first six PortMaster units, ordered by a company in Saudi Arabia, have a capacity of 200 tph for use with ships up to 100,000 dwt.
Among the ship loaders supplied by BMH for various bulk cargoes is a 1,000-tph, rail travelling, gantry-type grain loader in operation since March 2000 for Skånska Lantmännen in Helsingborg, Sweden. The loader works on ships up to 60,000 dwt.
BMH Marine also supplies complete grain terminals and a wide range of products for conveying and handling. Such products include chain and belt conveyors, bucket elevators, cleaning and weighing equipment and all other equipment for grain and agribulk handling applications.
Based in Sweden, BMH Marine is part of the BMH Technologies, a division of Babcock International Group PLC, listed on the London stock exchange. BMH Technologies specializes in materials processing technologies and engineered systems.
