HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA — The Halifax operation of Dover Mills Limited has received the American Institute of Baking (AIB) Food Safety Certification. "Dover flour mill and bakery mix plant was North America’s first flour and bakery mix plant operation to receive an ISO 9002 certification, and this AIB certification adds to our reputation as a world class milling facility," said Stan Thomas, vice-president of operations. "The superior rating and AIB food safety certification process was over a year in development and success was obtained thanks to the hard work and dedication of our employees."
The mill received a superior ranking based on the high standards outlined in the AIB International Food Safety Certification Program. The recent audit performed by AIB has certified the operation with a score of 920 out a possible 1000, one of the highest rankings available.
In addition to its Halifax facility, Dover also operates a flour mill in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
