RHOON, THE NETHERLANDS Gans Transport, a bulk handling and transport company with operations in The Netherlands, Belgium and the United States, for marketing purposes has changed its name to Gans Cargo Operations.
The company said its officially registered name would continue to be Gans Transport.
“Over recent time we have detected a changing need from our customers for a more complete approach to the service package,” the company said. “Many want us to assign more of their logistics activities to allow them to concentrate on their core business.” The new marketing label reflects the company's operations beyond simply transportation, it said.
“Gans now profiles itself as a logistics one-stop shop,” the company said. “Bulk will still be a key trump card, but now the service package covers the full spectrum of breakbulk, containerized and general cargoes.” With its new marketing strategy, Gans Cargo Operations will oversee operations from loading and unloading to storage, processing, controls, customs, inland shipment and delivery.
“The fact that we are not restricted by our own ships, terminals, warehouses and other hardware leaves us free to buy in from external associate specialists at the most competitive rates,” the company said.
