TOTOWA, NEW JERSEY, U.S. Two U.S. suppliers of bulk bag equipment have announced an alliance agreement to market filling and discharge equipment for flexible intermediate bulk containers.
Vibra Screw, Inc., Totowa, and B.A.G. Corp., Savoy, Texas, U.S., will combine their bulk bag filling and unloading equipment, and also will cooperate on research and development, engineering and equipment sales and fabrication.
The alliance will allow the companies to “better serve the fast-growing bulk bag market,” said Richard Wahl, vice-chairman of Vibra Screw.
“Our alliance with B.A.G. will permit users to single source nearly all their bulk bag equipment from the silos and conveyors required for bag filling to feeders, weighers and mixers downstream of the bag unloaders,” Mr. Wahl said. “This is a tremendous benefit as processing systems become more complex.”
Vibra Screw, founded in 1955, manufactures equipment for unloading, feeding, weighing, sizing and blending bulk material. B.A.G. Corp since 1969 has manufactured polypropylene containers under the Super Sack trademark.
