VIENNA, AUSTRIA — In response to recent low global sugar prices and resulting cost-cutting efforts, Agrana Beteiligungs AG, the leading Austrian sugar and starch processor, has sold its 25% stake in Erste Wiener Walzmuehle Vonwiller Vermoegensverwaltung, one Austria's leading flour milling companies.
The stake was bought by Leipnik Lundenburger Invest, a merchant bank. Agrana said it expects to continue to market Erste Wiener's principal flour brands — Fini's Feinstes and Fritsche Kuechenperle.
