More than 7,000 visitors and representatives from 27 different countries attended the 1999 international exhibition of equipment, supplies and services for the grain industry in Guadalajara, sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association and the Agro de las America.
The 2000 exhibition will be held March 9-11 also in Guadalajara.
"In order to be able to continue to export food products internationally, food safety and consistent quality are imperative," a conference spokesperson said. "Technology, genetics and biotechnics are an integral part of the continued growth in these industries."
The conference was the only Mexican exhibition in its sector to be "Trade Fair Certified" by the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1999.
