AFIA and China Feed Industry Association to cooperate

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — The American Feed Industry Association and the China Feed Industry Association (CFIA) are close to signing an agreement of cooperation that will allow the two feed organizations to better serve their members and offer them increased global opportunities.
The agreement will strive to: harmonize international feed industry positions; collaborate on developments impacting feed regulatory issues; strengthen the feed industry’s voice on global issues; establish a dialogue on trade policies; and provide new educational opportunities.
"CFIA General Secretary Liu Tong-zhan has extended an invitation to AFIA to participate in an upcoming meeting and finalize the agreement at that time," said Rex Runyon, AFIA vice president. "Both organziations are anxiously looking forward to the possibilities this new global cooperation offers."
One method of executing the cooperation will be by working through the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF). E-Archive #52841
