MOSCOW, RUSSIA — A cargo of 63,000 tonnes of wheat from Russia that was halted by officials in Cairo, Egypt, last week has been approved for delivery after a second test conducted on June 3 showed it did not contain high levels of ergot, according to a report from Reuters.

Citing information from Russia’s Grain Quality Service, Reuters noted that the second test showed the cargo of wheat contained 0.01% levels of ergot, which was below the 0.06% in an initial test. Egypt’s enforcement level is 0.05%.
