ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, U.S.– Land O’Lakes, Inc. announced the promotion of Yone Dewberry to chief supply chain officer. In this position he will report directly to Beth Ford, group executive vice-president and chief operating officer (COO). Dewberry, a nine-year veteran of Land O’Lakes, will assume responsibility on May 15 for overall supply chain operations across the enterprise.

“Yone’s promotion to this important position aligns all key supply chain functions under a single leader who will focus on supply chain talent development and will position Land O’Lakes for the future,” Ford said.

Dewberry took on an expanded role this winter as the company evolved the structure of the supply chain team. This evolution was designed to drive enhanced integration and to expand the portfolio. Dewberry currently serves as senior vice-president – supply chain and procurement. He joined Land O’Lakes in 2008 as director of Dairy Planning. The company said he is a very highly regarded strategist with a broad background, including more than 12 years working as a supply chain consultant with companies such as BDP International and KPMG and 15 years with consumer products and chemical companies like Kraft Foods, Corning Glass and ARCO.

In addition to proving his value to clients in his consulting role, earlier in his career, Dewberry was hands-on in direct leadership plant positions in Kraft plants, including Entenmann’s Bakery, on the East coast. He a chemical engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from Lehigh University.

This is the most recent leadership change that Land O’ Lakes has announced in the past few weeks. In late April Bill Pieper was promoted to senior vice-president and chief financial officer. A 12-year veteran of Land O’Lakes, Pieper joined the company in 2005 as vice-president of finance and accounting for Purina Animal Nutrition. He began his new role on May 1.
