WOBURN, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S. — Cargill has selected Azima DLI, a provider of scalable, hosted predictive condition monitoring services, to supply whole-plant monitoring services to its North American Starch and Sweeteners Division (Corn Milling).

As part of the partnership, Azima DLI will remotely analyze vibration data from more than 8,000 machines across 14 Cargill sites and deliver comprehensive machinery health information via its Watchman Reliability Portal. In addition, more than 6,000 lubrication, motor, IR, and other PdM data sources will be integrated into the Azima DLI Watchman Reliability Portal to create a multi-technology picture of machine health on which both Cargill plant managers and Azima DLI analysts will rely to manage production risk, the companies said.

Cargill selected Azima DLI for the service following an 18-month pilot program at its Bovina, Texas, U.S., sweet bran processing plant and Spiritwood, North Dakota, U.S., micromalting plant.

“Azima DLI demonstrated its ability to remotely monitor, track and accurately diagnose emergent mechanical failures during these two pilot programs,” said Rick Baldridge, global reliability leader for Cargill. “These programs proved both the value of Azima DLI’s Watchman services offering as well as its potential to scale and attain our reliability excellence goals.”
