Bruce Gubser MGP's east central regional manager for ingredients sales

ATCHISON, KANSAS, U.S. — MGP Ingredients announced on Oct. 27 the appointment of Bruce Gubser to the position of east central regional sales manager for ingredients. His background includes more than 20 years of sales management, food science and technical applications experience.

“The MGP family is very pleased to welcome Bruce to our sales team,” said Mike Buttshaw, vice-president of ingredients sales and marketing. “He will make a great addition to our company, further strengthening our resources to support our customers’ growth platforms. We look forward to his support and expertise as we continue to meet the needs of our customers for highly functional and nutritious ingredient solutions.”

Since 2005, Gubser was employed with Herbstreith & Fox Inc., Elmsford, New York, U.S., as a regional technical sales manager, overseeing product application projects and performing an instrumental role in new product introductions.

From 1997 to 2005, Gubser was national technical sales manager for meat products at Degussa, in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. In this role, he had sole sales and technical responsibility for customers in the U.S., while also providing technical expertise to customers in the Canadian and Mexican markets. Before that, he served as an applications technician for Penford Food Ingredients in Denver, Colorado, U.S., where he conducted research related to the use of starch in meat products and provided application and problem-solving assistance to customers.
